Business Boost Initiative: Tamaira Binion- Council

Tamaira Binion-Council, the wife entrepreneur, Jann Council Jr. VIII helps manage marketing and backend operations for her husband’s business, Penn Hill Bar and Grill. Time was her biggest challenge. “One of my biggest issues is I have a job. I have a child. I really needed more structure with social media,” she shared. Tamaira needed help establishing systems and structures to achieve a few key goals: managing social media more efficiently, growing her online following, and launching a website.

Through BBI, Tamaira received guidance to approach marketing in a structured, strategic way. Working with April Buzzelli, founder and CEO of Dr. Mom Digital Marketing Group, Tamaira learned to streamline social media, leverage automations and AI tools, and manage website updates, allowing her to plan content a month in advance instead of posting daily. On top of building internal structure and systems, Tamaira shared that one post went viral, reaching 166,000 views, and Penn Hill Bar and Grill’s Facebook following grew by 1,500. Tamaira was also able to use these tools to strategically promote events and space rentals during slower months, increasing foot traffic and diversifying revenue.

The program provided her with tools and systems, as well as connections to professionals that expanded her network and set her up for long-term success, Tamaira comments “It’s giving you the tools you need…you just need to be willing to learn and work.”
