Our Executive Director Mark Masterson recently sat down with Tim Schooley of Pittsburgh Business Times to discuss an exciting new development: the transformation of a half dozen buildings on the North Side’s East Ohio Street into a restaurant row.

Though the idea of East Ohio Street becoming a dining hot spot may have seemed unlikely for longtime North Siders, the desire among people to dine out after the pandemic – combined with the need for more restaurants in the North Side business district – has provided local investors and developers with a golden opportunity to rejuvenate one of the area’s most neglected properties. We’re proud to play a part in seeing that vision come to life.

At Neighborhood Community Development Fund, we’re in the business of resilient and sustainable neighborhoods – and that starts with putting the right businesses and building projects in right places.

By providing pre-development loans and construction financing, our team partners with developers to utilize commercial real estate in a way that benefits our community and its residents.
